Proud Cook Islander (from Aitutaki and Mangaia) and 38 years young, Pacific Homecare celebrates Support Worker, Pauline Arama as the February Employee of the Month. Born in Aitutaki and raised in Rarotonga before moving to New Zealand at 16, Pauline is the second of four siblings and is now a wife and mother to her daughter, Trinity.

Pauline has been a Support Worker for Pacific Homecare since 2015. She mentioned, “It has been an amazing journey filled with many great memories and experiences. As a Support Worker, my role is to provide daily help and support, both physically and emotionally, to individuals in need, which I enjoy.”

When asked about her favourite part about working for PHC, she said it is being someone who can support her clients and possibly put a smile on their faces. Every one of her clients inspires Pauline at work because they remind her of very important people in her life: her grandparents.

Many customers have commented on Pauline’s impeccable service and excellence in completing duties. One client mentioned never requesting another Support Worker as she loves Pauline’s service. Praised for her punctuality and cheerfulness when attending work, Pauline also speaks Te Reo Kuki Airani when conversing with her Cook Island clients. One client mentioned it makes her stand out as they can have more heartfelt conversations, making every service something to look forward to.

Congratulations on being the February Employee of the Month, Pauline.
