As part of PHC’s commitment to supporting staff development and building capability within the workplace, five of our office staff, Lesieli (Clinical Lead), Veitacini, Milika and Nora (Clinical Coordinator) and Merelesita (People & Culture-Workforce & Training Support), completed Careerforce Registered Assessor Training.
Having qualified Careerforce Registered Assessors within PHC will allow us to provide more workplace-based assessment and support for Support Workers completing Careerforce qualifications. Our assessors have the knowledge and skills to assess trainees against the required unit standards and provide guidance, coaching, and support throughout their learning journey.
Having assessors within our own workplace also means trainees can be supported by people who understand PHC’s work environment, processes, and the roles of our Support Workers. This will help strengthen our internal capability and support our staff in progressing towards their qualifications while continuing to develop their skills and knowledge on the job.
We are pleased to celebrate that our staff have now successfully completed their assessor training and are qualified to support workplace assessment through Careerforce.
A special thank you to Loma Rodan from Careerforce for her guidance and support throughout the assessor training.
