Our Fia Ola elderly certainly bring joy to our lives, so it’s only right that we give them that same happiness! Before the Easter Weekend began, our Niuean, Samoan, Fijian/Indian and Tongan groups ditched the indoors and ventured out on day trips, sharing delicious lunches and seeing new views together. Experiences we were lucky to share with our Cook Island group a few weeks earlier.
On Monday, our Niuean group stole the limelight at every spot they visited. Bringing their ukeleles and Niuean flag for all the photos. Tuesday was spent with our Samoan elderly. Strolling in the sun through Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park while singing soulful Samoan songs.
Our Fijian/Indian group, although smaller, still had an amazing time on Wednesday. Taking van rides to a lovely picnic under the warm sun. On Thursday, our Tongan group started their adventure with a photo shoot in Devonport, followed by joyful laughter that lasted the whole day.
As an organisation committed to the well-being of our customers, we were so happy to see our members having a great time.
Thank you to everyone who made these days possible and to our Fia Ola mamas and papas for bringing so much joy into our world.
We can’t wait to do it all again!
