Quality Advisor Nayar Naoia Fuimaono has been acknowledged for his outstanding contributions to our Pacific Homecare (PHC) team. He worked diligently with management and the wider team to ensure our policies and processes are updated and compliant. Especially during our last three audits. His dedication and efforts have been worthwhile, so we congratulate him as our November Employee of the Month.

Born and raised in South Auckland, Nayar is full Samoan. Now 28 years old, he and his wife have been happily married for two and a half years. His journey with Pacific Homecare began in 2020 when he started as a Whānau Ora Navigator. Four years later, he has been our Quality Advisor since July 2024 and manages our organisation’s Health and Safety. With plenty of expertise, Nayar credits his years of study. Here he received a Bachelor of Social Science (Double Major in Social Policy and Environmental/Urban Planning), Diploma in Geography, and spent some time studying Law.

I have been in my new role now for 6 months. I loved working with families in the Whānau Ora space, but enjoy the learning as a Quality Advisor and the challenges that come with it.

When asked what he enjoys most at Pacific Homecare, Nayar responded, “Pacific Homecare’s Team culture is second to none. And the emphasis on self-care and looking out for our own families which then also influences output within our workforce.”

Although Nayar has only been in his new role for six months, he has massively supported our team. Especially throughout audits. With the support he provides us, he finds it reciprocal by how he explains his inspirations at our organisation.

“I have learnt a lot of things from a lot of my colleagues and also the Senior Leadership Team. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of an organisation such as PHC. But I will say this, last year, before I returned back to work, I was on medical leave for a year since 2022 (still as a Navigator). During my absence, I was unsure of whether I would have the opportunity to return to work due to my physical well-being and other factors.

I thank Pacific Homecare, Hamish, our CEO, and Senior Leadership for keeping that window open for me to return, which has also seen me transition into this new role. The opportunity has only pushed me further to give back to the organisation that took a second chance on me, and I only hope to meet the high standards that are maintained.”

Just as Nayar describes PHC, his work ethics resemble the values of love, care, and professionalism. We’re grateful to have Nayar on board and congratulate him once again for being our November Employee of the Month.
