Born and raised on the wondrous island of Samoa, Pacific Homecare (PHC) Support Worker Fetuao moved to Aotearoa, New Zealand, when she was 24 years old. Upon her arrival, she worked small jobs, all while raising her two children.

Now, working as a dedicated Support Worker at PHC, Fetuao’s work ethic is admirable, working six days a week. She finds great joy in her role, saying,

“I love taking care of my people and love that I can support and care for them.” This passion shows how meaningful her job is to her identity and the impact she has on her community.

When asked about her inspiration at PHC, Fetuao mentioned, “Louise. Because she’s been helpful and is always there for me.” The support she receives from her Senior Service Coordinator, Louise Uluakiola, contributes to how Fetuao describes the organisation in three words: loving, caring, and professional.

Fetuao embodies the qualities that she sees in her inspirations and in her work. She has received praise from the sister of a Pacific Homecare customer, who commended her values when providing service. Noted for her punctuality and high standards in completing her duties, we congratulate Fetuao once again for being named Employee of the Month for January.
