Elderly Care Services

Elderly Care involves assistance to help people 65 years and over remain as independent as possible within their community. Pacific Homecare offers the following elderly care services:

Personal Care

Personal care includes assistance with getting you ready to face the start and the end of each day. For example, showering, bathing, washing and drying hair, shaving, dressing and undressing, toileting, mobility, meal preparation and feeding.

Household Management

Household management includes assistance with everyday household tasks that you may be struggling to complete. For example, cleaning, laundry, ironing, vacuuming or mopping the floors, doing the dishes, dusting.

Social Support

Social support allows people with disabilities to remain active in the community and encourages them to participate as fully as they are able. Social support involves the following:

Psychological Support

This includes emotional empathy, companionship and encouragement. Information sharing involves putting you in touch with other agencies to improve your wellbeing. For example, suppliers of hearing aids, walking sticks and walkers and the Occupational Therapist for other clinical equipment.

Physical support

Help with physical tasks included in your Care Plan. This can include support and transportation to community programmes, going for walks, and exercise programmes as stated in your Care Plan

Complex Long-Term Care

Complex long-term care  is assistance for people with serious health conditions or injuries, some of which may leave them bed-bound or in a wheelchair. We provide assistance in dealing with diabetes, incontinence, dementia, obesity, post-stroke impairments, Parkinson’s disease, paralysis, arthritis, etc

These services can help support you to safely remain in your own home when you need help to do so.

"I know I am very thankful for the wonderful services I get. No matter how wonderful your children are, they still can’t be with you 24 hours a day. When I have been down and feel a bit empty, it has been comforting to have her around. My Support Worker has been marvelous since I met her. I know I could not manage without her or Pacific Homecare."
