Dedicated Support Worker, Ann Lee, has received praise from our PHC staff and customers for her exceptional care and reliability, earning her the honour of the July Employee of the Month.

Originally from Mangere and now residing in Papatoetoe, Ane is of Tongan and Rarotongan descent, a loving wife, and a mother of three. Reflecting on her time at PHC, Ane shares, “I came into PHC as a Support Worker and never thought in my wildest dreams that this job gave me a new direction and appreciation of service to elderly and community especially health of our Pacific people”.

Her passion resonates in the heartfelt feedback from her clients, where Ane sees her role as a chance to bring positive change in their lives. She says, “I love that I get to make a difference in someone else’s life in a small way. Whether it be a cup of tea, a hug, personal care or just a simple smile walking in the door. We take advantage of being young and strong but one day the work we are doing, maybe someone else’s one day when I get to an elderly stage in life”.

Ane finds inspiration in her interactions with colleagues and clients alike. Saying, “Everyone I come across at work inspires me because we all have different qualities about ourselves that we learn from, but especially to the pioneers who have been the stepping stones of PHC. Your hard work and vision are my bread and butter for my little family. And to the CEO because I am able to work and at the same time take the courses to better myself and my knowledge”.

At Pacific Homecare, we are honoured to have Ane as part of our team. Her unwavering love, care, and professionalism shine brightly every day, touching the lives of everyone she meets.
