Recently, Panapa, Leolasi, and Joshlyn, members of our Ora’anga team, attended the fourth Indigenous Wellbeing Conference at the Due Drop Events Centre.
Hosted by the Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Association, the theme for this year’s conference was “Our Stories, Our Strength: A Collective Journey to Indigenous Wellbeing.”
Bringing together both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, they looked at indigenous models of care to wellbeing, including traditional healing methods. Our team highlighted that the conference helped to reaffirm the services we provide and how we deliver them. They found it great to see our indigenous people in a platform that gives strength to the solutions and frameworks we work within.
What a beautiful event to assist in improving the well-being and health of our Indigenous, First Nations Australian, Māori and Pasifika people.
