Born and raised in the Cook Islands, I came to NZ in 1985. I worked as an accounts administrator and have a Diploma in Hospitality and Management and a Certificate in Law. I have three beautiful children who live in NZ as well. I came to Pacific Homecare after caring for my sister whom had cancer and my father. Once they passed. I knew I wanted to be a carer.
I mostly do personal care for my clients visiting them in their homes.
No day is the same! My clients have challenging behaviour, and sometimes they want a shower, sometimes they don’t. Sometimes they are friendly, sometimes at they are not. It depends on the weather I guess (lol0! That is why I love my job.
I have completed First Aid, my Level 2 National Certificate in Community Support and dementia training.
I love working with my clients. Every day is different.

I like to go home, and after doing my housework I like to relax with a glass of wine over dinner.
Coaching my daughter’s netball team.

Back in the islands I loved playing sports. Anything to do with sport and I was there! I have memories of moving from family home to home, spending time with uncles and aunties and hanging out with my cousins.
