Pacific Homecare has given me the opportunity to move forward. Pacific Homecare has also given me the ability to love and care for our people as if they are my own parents.

Tell us a little bit about your background?

I was born and raised by my parents in Samoa, in a beautiful village called Falefa. I am the youngest sibling of 11. I moved to Auckland, New Zealand in 2002 and met my wife here. We got married in 2008. I have two boys’ ages, 17 and 12.

What sorts of things do you do in your job?

I give personal and domestic care to my clients, assisting them with showering, prepare their meal, mop and vacuum their room, changing their sheets and giving them massage if required.

Tell us about your customers / a normal day in your job?

I treat all my clients with love and respect. I am passionate about my work and I would go the extra mile for them.

What Training have you completed at Pacific Homecare?

I have completed Level 2 – National Certificate in Support Services. First Aid and Pacific Pathways. I have enrolled to do Level 3 – National Certificate in Support Services.

What do you like most about working at Pacific Homecare?

Pacific Homecare has given me the opportunity to move forward. Pacific Homecare has also given me the ability to love and care for our people as they are my own parents.

Who inspires you?

The person who inspires me was my mum. I am the youngest of our family and I did not get the chance to care for my mum when she was alive. I always wish I will get another chance to care for her.

At the end of your working day, what do you like to do?

Helping my wife cooking dinner and spending time with my family.

Being spoilt by my mother.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

To become a Priest.

If you weren’t doing the job what would you be doing?

I would be working as a painter, but I love my job as a Support Worker for Pacific Homecare.
